Shep Paints His "Mom's Pride"!

About 30 years ago my Mom went to an auto auction with my Dad.  That time she won and bought the 1966 Porsche 912 I started painting tonight.  I'm painting "Mom's Pride" because after years of trying to make it run right, and actually succeeding briefly, I sold it last month to a professional who said he could make it like new.  I hope he can and does and lets me drive it when finished.

I'm going to have fun painting the little Porsche and hope somebody likes it so I can sell it again.  Strange enough after I started the painting I received an email that there's going to be a small art show just for Hot Rods, Jalopies, and Sports Cars.  I guess I was supposed to paint "Mom's Pride".

My name is Bob Shepherd, but when I paint I'm known as "Shep". I love to paint people. Happy people. Sad people. People dancing. People in contemplation. Old people. Young people. Lately I've gotten into painting new things and I'm enjoying the challenge. Flowers and still life's have been fun. My blog is here to show you what I'm doing and how I'm doing it. If I'm doing your commission you can follow the progress of your "PortraitbyShep". If you'd like me to do your portrait please notify me through the blog.
