Tomorrow we start to finish the paintings, and today I did the last glaze. I did use the Bohemian Green on the portrait of Melinda and the Verona Green on the floral. Can you tell the difference?
Here's something to look for when before you glaze your paintings. If you hold your painting at an angle to the light you will see that the last glaze left a smooth, shiny coat to your painting. Chances are you didn't completely paint every square inch of your painting. You can tell the new paint because it will usually be less shiny. This is as it should be. If it's right...don't fix it! On these two paintings I probably painted 60 to 70% on Melinda because I completely repainted the background. I onlt painted about 20 to 30% on the floral. In the final stage I'll probably paint Melinda 30 to 40% and the floral 20 to 30% because I like most of what I see. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!
