I think I'm finally through with "Jelly Beans", the painting that named itself. In the beginning I thought this was a floral, and it probably will compete in that category, but everyone commented on the jelly beans; therefore, the title. "Jelly Beans" has more moving parts than any painting I've ever attempted and probably took longer to paint as far as hours spent painting.
As I'm finishing a painting I will sit it on our mantle and look at it, right-side up and down, and look for mistakes. I'll work on my other projects and come back when I find mistakes. I thought I had finished this painting at least 3 times. Does anyone see anything they don't like or what you think is a mistake. Remember the painting is in many different stages of drying. Some paint is wet and other paint is very dry and hazy, waiting of a coat of varnish to bring out the depth of color. I like feedback!

About Me
- BlogbyShep
- My name is Bob Shepherd, but when I paint I'm known as "Shep". I love to paint people. Happy people. Sad people. People dancing. People in contemplation. Old people. Young people. Lately I've gotten into painting new things and I'm enjoying the challenge. Flowers and still life's have been fun. My blog is here to show you what I'm doing and how I'm doing it. If I'm doing your commission you can follow the progress of your "PortraitbyShep". If you'd like me to do your portrait please notify me through the blog. Please enter your email above and I hope you enjoy the blog. Shep
