"Mona Lynne" by Shep is unveiled!

We combined a portraitsbyShep unveiling with a great anniversary party Saturday night, and aren't we all glad we can finally tell Chip how much we like his painting. "Mona Lynne" was commissioned by Lynne as a present to Chip for their 30th anniversary. Many thanks to all our mutual friends for keeping the secret for so many months. Chip was truly surprised when he walked into the party and we surprised him again when the unveiled portrait was actually his present.

I knew I got the portrait right when Lynne's beautiful granddaughter, Jemma, upon the unveiling immediately said, "Gigi, what are you doing?"

This may have been the best party yet. Many thanks to Lynne for so many things: the commission that started the whole ball rolling, the loan of the hat and veil, for posing so many hours, and for helping with the party. And many thanks to the greatest party giver of the all...Donna.

About Me

My photo
My name is Bob Shepherd, but when I paint I'm known as "Shep". I love to paint people. Happy people. Sad people. People dancing. People in contemplation. Old people. Young people. Lately I've gotten into painting new things and I'm enjoying the challenge. Flowers and still life's have been fun. My blog is here to show you what I'm doing and how I'm doing it. If I'm doing your commission you can follow the progress of your "PortraitbyShep". If you'd like me to do your portrait please notify me through the blog. Please enter your email above and I hope you enjoy the blog. Shep
