"Worried" & "getting ready..." are finished!

Finally! I hope everyone enjoyed the journey with me. All that's left before the show in Brenham is a light coat of retouch varnish Wednesday or Thursday. The Brenham Fine Arts League show is Saturday afternoon.

This has been a great weekend. Besides finishing the paintings, Donna and I started off the weekend with a fund raiser at one of our great friends home here in Bentwater. Dr. Javier Pinell, the head of violin studies at Sam Houston State University, and my good friend Dr. Sergio Ruiz, the head of Keyboard studies at SHSU, gave a great concert. I donated a portrait that raised additional funds for scholarships. It was a great night.

February 5th, 6th & 7th will be the artwalk for "Just Figures". I'll send everyone out the info as soon as the brochures are finished.

My name is Bob Shepherd, but when I paint I'm known as "Shep". I love to paint people. Happy people. Sad people. People dancing. People in contemplation. Old people. Young people. Lately I've gotten into painting new things and I'm enjoying the challenge. Flowers and still life's have been fun. My blog is here to show you what I'm doing and how I'm doing it. If I'm doing your commission you can follow the progress of your "PortraitbyShep". If you'd like me to do your portrait please notify me through the blog.
