...but Shep's back and the new Studio is fabulous!

What do you think?  When we built our home we thought that the best color for a studio would be a neutral white and the decorator we used had the perfect color for that time, but now almost 9 years later artists have discovered that grey's work best.  I first heard of this color from Pamela Blaise one of my fellow Artists of Texas.  When we were having dinner with a number of the Woodlands Art League artists in attendance at the PSA we brought up the subject of studio color.  One of the artists said that Scott Burdick and Susan Lyon had a beautiful color in their studio and that the number was on their blog.  Pamela's and Susan's colors were exactly the same so that did it.  The top photo shows me painting from the picture rail, at 10', down.  Twelve foot ceilings are great for an artist, but are a booger to paint.  The middle photo shows my new Model/Commission stage so my future commissions will have room and be comfortable.  The stage is on wheels so I can move it to different parts of the studio for lighting purposes.  The bottom photo is the finished product with my easels next to the large window that gets east and northern light.  Now I'm ready to finish the commission and paintings I've been working on, and to tackle the three commissions I have waiting.
