Many of you will remember "Mary Contrary". I finished her early this year and decided she might be a good fit for this contest. I like to fall in love with my paintings and Mary and I have had quite an affair. Mary lives in an unreal world (and my studio closet). Colors aren't what they should be and hair is sometimes too perfect, but spend time with her and you'll believe that skin should be Indian Yellow. It would be wonderful and amazing if the judges at the Portrait Society are as taken with her as her creator is.
