I've been working on "Gondola's and Gelato" for a long time now, but for good reason's.
1. It's a painting of Donna and I really wanted to do this one right.
2. The photo was taken on such a great trip in such a beautiful place. It was our 40th Anniversary trip. Venice is one of the most wonderful places on Earth and we had a blast.
3. I plan to enter "Gondola's and Gelato" into the Portrait Society of America's Member's Only Art contest. I'll be competing against the greatest artists in America and probably have no chance of winning even a 4th Honorable Mention, but I wanted to see how it goes. I'll be interested to see if I even get a note.
All that's left is to let the painting dry, check it for mistakes, and finish with a coat of varnish.
By the way. Does anyone know what flavor of gelato Donna's eating. Hint. It's Rick Steves favorite flavor.
