Getting ready

The Portrait has been glazed. I have a great old "Secret" formula for glaze taught to me by Geoffrey Laurence, but Liquin works just about as well. I've mixed Alizarin Crimson into the liquin and spread on with a very soft 1" brush. By the way, a great big Thanks to Paula Johnson for pushing me to finally do this Blog after messing around with it for months. Also, I don't want this to be an exercise in Blogsterbation. If you like what I'm doing, lets your friends know. I don't want to do this by myself. Please comment. Idon't know how to read a comment, but I'll learn.

About Me

My photo
My name is Bob Shepherd, but when I paint I'm known as "Shep". I love to paint people. Happy people. Sad people. People dancing. People in contemplation. Old people. Young people. Lately I've gotten into painting new things and I'm enjoying the challenge. Flowers and still life's have been fun. My blog is here to show you what I'm doing and how I'm doing it. If I'm doing your commission you can follow the progress of your "PortraitbyShep". If you'd like me to do your portrait please notify me through the blog. Please enter your email above and I hope you enjoy the blog. Shep
