What a great week!
The life drawing study on the left was done Wednesday night in a 2+ hour session. My goal's were two fold: 1. To work on soft edges with a more free style. 2. To try the new colors Clayton introduced me to. Ivory Black. I like many artists stay away from black because it tends to not have much life to it. Cobalt Blue. A great color I will definitely be using in the future. And Terra Rosa. I used it exclusively as both a grisaille and as a final skin color . I am going to use it with Transparent Red Oxide and Yellow Ocre that I already use.
The still life was done Tuesday in a day long session. I plan to do some more work on this painting in hope that someone will fall in love with it and take it home. I really fell in love with painting still life's and plan to do many more in the future. Many thanks to Clayton Beck for his help. He is truly a fine artist and excellent teacher.
Hi Bob, I love the pill box painting. Please save it for me. It is beautiful Thanks Denise
ReplyDeleteDenise: You got it! I'll stretch it to day and do some finishing touches on the painting. I'll post the finished painting when it's done for your approval. Then I'll sign it. It will take about a week to dry then I'll ship it. Thanks, and enjoy,
